Patient Account Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Process insurance claims, verify policy details, and ensure precise billing.

• Monitor payments and follow up on any outstanding balances.

• Liaise with insurance companies and patients to address billing discrepancies.

• Oversee accounts receivable management.

• Reconcile financial records accurately.

• Create reports for management review.

• Respond to patient and telephone inquiries regarding billed claims.

• Execute billing tasks within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Familiarity with working aging reports, investigating unpaid claims, and submitting appeals to insurance providers.

• Ability to address patient and telephone inquiries concerning billed claims with professionalism and attention to detail.

• Capability to perform billing operations within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

• Raintree experience is a plus.

• Strong time management, organizational, and communication abilities.

• Proficient in both independent work and collaborative teamwork.

• Proven capacity to manage challenging situations and resolve conflicts effectively.

• Background in Medicare, Workers’ Compensation, Commercial, Medicaid, and Auto/MVA insurance.

• Experience collaborating with litigation attorneys.

• Basic computer proficiency, including skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• A minimum of 1 year of prior medical billing experience or a graduate of a Medical Billing School.

• Detail-oriented and organized.
