Parts Forecast Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee Customer Service functions pertaining to the supply and demand of replacement parts and components across the global supply chain.

• Analyze historical consumption data to recognize trends and formulate forecasts for inventory management and procurement.

• Employ forecasting tools and methodologies to estimate future material and part needs.

• Track forecast accuracy and modify models based on demand signals, seasonal variations, and business requirements.

• Conduct usage analyses, economic assessments, and gather market feedback to enhance global market pricing and inventory strategies.

• Work collaboratively with engineering, production planning, manufacturing, Product Support, Marketing, Sales, and Purchasing teams.

• Assess and determine inventory levels based on sales forecasts, past usage, and current stock, including new inventory and the Service Exchange Unit program.

• Suggest inventory optimization strategies, such as direct shipments, returns management, and bulk purchase orders.

• Manage logistics for returned goods and inter-company transfers.

• Compile and refine Recommended/Initial Parts Lists for internal projects and affiliate operations.

• Generate reports and feasibility studies for both short- and long-term strategic initiatives.

• Execute potential analysis reporting against forecasts to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience that is equivalent.

• Willingness to travel to customer or supplier locations both nationally and internationally, up to 10% of the time.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
