Partnerships Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as an essential liaison between the Latino Medical Student Association and Vot-ER.

• Assist Vot-ER in establishing and nurturing relationships with healthcare institutions nationwide.

• Strengthen existing organizational connections and onboard new partners.

• Lead a targeted initiative concentrating on the Emergency Patient Voting (EPV) Program.

• Sustain frequent communication with current partners to enhance engagement.

• Identify and incorporate new health-related organizations into the program.

• Develop and implement mobilization strategies for Civic Holidays (e.g., National Voter Registration Day, National Voter Education Week, Vote Early Day).

• Organize and train health professional students to ensure voting access for patients.

• Create educational materials for patients and bedside toolkits for emergency ballot requests.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be an active member of the Latino Medical Student Association.

• Candidates are required to provide documentation from their institution confirming that they will receive course credit for this internship.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex advocacy objectives to a diverse group of health professionals.

• Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting, adhering to deadlines and managing multiple workstreams through digital platforms (Slack, Zoom, CRM).

• Strong commitment to racial equity and inclusion.

• Ability to collaborate effectively to build trust and show respect to others through honesty, integrity, kindness, empathy, and authenticity.

• Keen attention to detail and a demonstrated capacity to prioritize time to meet deadlines across various projects.

• Proactive in seeking improvements and proposing solutions to potential challenges.

• Willingness to acknowledge uncertainties and accept that feedback is integral to the learning process.
