This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Oversee the strategic advancement of qualified partnership initiatives and refresh opportunities.
• Provide consultation on partnership winning strategies that align client requirements with Thermo Fisher Scientific's enterprise capabilities and long-term growth goals.
• Develop partnership governance frameworks, operating model concepts, and strategic engagement methodologies customized to client needs.
• Act as the strategic advisor to Business Development, General Partners, and Business Unit leaders throughout the pursuit lifecycle.
• Promote alignment among commercial, operational, scientific, and functional stakeholders to guarantee a unified partnership strategy.
• Evaluate opportunity complexity and identify suitable partnership constructs and engagement models.
• Create and lead pursuit teams for strategic opportunities.
• Ensure strategic coherence across all client-facing deliverables and interactions.
• Offer executive-level guidance throughout the pursuit process.
• Collaborate with Strategic Solutions Leads (SSLs) to ensure proposal strategies are in line with the broader partnership vision.
• Direct the development of executive-level engagement strategies for partnership pursuits.
• Work alongside Partnership Implementation teams to ensure a smooth transition from pursuit to implementation.
• A bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred, or at least 15 years of industry experience, ideally in proposal and/or sales roles.
• Extensive experience in CRO, pharmaceutical, biotech, or related healthcare services sectors.
• Proven track record in leading strategic pursuits, enterprise partnerships, commercial strategy, or similar functions.
• Strong grasp of clinical development outsourcing and partnership models.
• Experience working in highly matrixed global organizations.
• Domestic and international travel may be necessary depending on client engagement and business requirements.
