Partnership Engagement Manager – Conferences, Events

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, including the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office.

• Cultivate and enhance sponsor relationships from initial engagement to long-term support.

• Create, manage, and implement sponsorships that align with the objectives of FoundationCCC and our clients.

• Identify relevant opportunities, develop tailored sponsorship packages, manage logistics, and ensure all commitments are met to optimize satisfaction and engagement.

• Collaborate across internal teams and with external partners to boost event revenue, enhance the brand, and foster strategic philanthropic partnerships and sustainable growth.

• Design, craft, and submit high-quality sponsorship proposals for events that align with overarching strategies and organizational goals.

• Oversee the sponsorship pipeline, tracking prospective sponsors, ongoing discussions, confirmed commitments, renewals, and opportunities for deeper engagement across multiple annual events.

• Ensure all sponsor deliverables are fulfilled at both in-person and virtual events, maintaining high levels of sponsor satisfaction.

• Recognize when sponsor relationships are ready to progress beyond events and facilitate introductions to relevant FoundationCCC teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of three to five (3–5+) years of relevant client-facing experience in comprehensive event planning, sponsorship activation, conference services, and logistics.

• At least two to three (2–3+) years of experience in managing programs, projects, or stakeholder relationships with proven success in cross-functional collaboration.

• Proficiency in utilizing CRM systems for managing stakeholder and sponsor data; direct experience with Salesforce is highly preferred.

• Experience within or supporting educational institutions or nonprofit organizations is strongly preferred.

• Solid understanding of sponsorship value, audience engagement strategies, sponsor stewardship, and current trends in event sponsorship.

• Excellent client management abilities, including serving as a reliable point of contact, understanding client priorities, managing expectations, balancing competing needs, and maintaining strong relationships with sponsors, clients, and internal partners.

• Proven expertise in relationship management, negotiation, sales, client service, and sponsor communications.
