This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Create detailed project plans that encompass scope, timeline, budget, and resource distribution.
• Allocate and oversee resources across various projects.
• Recognize project and program risks, and formulate strategies for mitigation and contingency.
• Supervise project budgets, monitor expenditures, report to stakeholders, and take corrective measures as necessary.
• Enforce quality control procedures and ensure adherence to contracts, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Inspire and lead project managers, engineers, analysts, and other professionals.
• Set performance metrics and KPIs, track progress and milestones, and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure that contractual obligations, reporting standards, deliverables, regulations, and legal requirements are met.
• Promote continuous improvement in processes and implement industry best practices.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
• 8 years of relevant progressive experience with a bachelor's degree in a related field; 6 years with a master's degree; or a high school diploma/equivalent and 12 years of relevant progressive experience.
• Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role, ideally within the defense industry or government contracting.
• In-depth knowledge of defense industry practices, regulations, and contractual obligations.
• Experience managing multi-year contracts yielding over $20M in annual revenue.
• Proven ability to oversee multiple projects at once.
• Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
• Exceptional skills in organization and time management.
• Financial expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Competence in risk management, making timely and informed decisions.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adjust to shifting priorities.
• Must hold and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Preferred: 5+ years managing Defense Aerospace or Airborne ISR contracts.
• Preferred: 3+ years managing CPAF contracts that support the Department of Defense.
• Preferred: 3+ years with SOFA requirements throughout Europe and DOCPER regulations for contractors in Germany or Italy.
• Preferred: 3+ years managing contracts awarded and administered by GSA/FEDSIM.
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience with Smartsheet and Office365 products.
• PMP certification or DAWIA Level III Program Management certification.
