
Part-Time Outpatient Therapist – Family & Couples Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Deliver client-focused and culturally sensitive therapy to couples and families across various relational structures and life stages.
• Involve all pertinent family members or partners in treatment planning, goal-setting, and psychoeducation.
• Perform in-depth relational and systemic assessments (e.g., family dynamics, communication styles, attachment histories) and develop customized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions adapted for couples and family systems (e.g., EFT, Gottman Method, structural or systemic family therapy).
• Guide challenging discussions and conflict resolutions while ensuring a safe and neutral therapeutic space.
• Address crises (e.g., domestic disputes, safety issues, disclosures) with compassion, focusing on the safety and stabilization of all individuals involved.
• Ensure timely, precise, and clinically appropriate documentation for both individual and joint sessions.
• Work in collaboration with individual therapists, psychiatrists, and other care providers to ensure cohesive treatment for clients or families.
• Engage in individual supervision, case consultations, and team collaboration.
• Keep updated with the latest practices in couples/family therapy, ongoing education, and regulatory standards.
• Assist families and couples with resources and referrals to achieve their treatment objectives.
• Maintain prompt and sensitive communication with clients while observing appropriate confidentiality boundaries in multi-client situations.
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related discipline.
• Independent licensure (or license eligible) in Massachusetts: LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or equivalent.
• Experience in providing therapy to couples and/or families with a strong grounding in evidence-based, trauma-informed interventions.
• Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation.
• Training or certification in couples/family-focused approaches (e.g., Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), structural or systemic family therapy) is preferred.
• Background in assisting couples and families through separation, divorce, reconciliation, or significant relational transitions is preferred.
• Competitive pay scales based on experience: $54-59/hour (Pre-Licensed).
• Competitive pay scales based on experience: $64-69/hour (Independently Licensed).
