Part-Time Health Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver targeted health course content in an online setting

• Provide instruction, support, and guidance while overseeing the learning process

• Tailor learning experiences and differentiate instruction according to student mastery

• Track student progress using Stride K12’s learning management system

• Facilitate both synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences

• Maintain the grade book while ensuring the integrity of student academic records

• Make decisions regarding student placement and promotion, and notify administrators of performance issues

• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments

• Build rapport with families and maintain communication with students and parents/learning coaches

• Assist parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting

• Collaborate with teachers to analyze student data and utilize it to inform instruction

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree

• Current state teaching license

• Valid state Department of Education Health Teaching Certification

• Ability to pass required background check

• Capacity to work independently

• Ability to maintain a professional home office free from distractions

• Availability for instructional hours between 9–5 EST or 8–4

• Competence to collaborate with other teachers and leverage student data for instructional choices

• Open to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers

• Willingness to embrace change and adapt to enhance student outcomes

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

• Capability to learn and adapt to contemporary technologies and teaching platforms

• Ability to uphold teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum

• Up to 20% travel for professional development, student assessments, and/or school-related obligations
