Part-time Faculty – University Support Provider, Single Subject or Multiple Subject California Teaching Credential

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Offer coaching, mentoring, and support to teacher candidates throughout their clinical practice experiences.

• Conduct online classroom observations and deliver timely, constructive feedback that aligns with program expectations.

• Assess candidate performance utilizing established assessment tools and state standards.

• Assist candidates in showcasing their proficiency in the California Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs).

• Collaborate with site support teachers and university personnel to encourage candidate development and success.

• Track candidate progress and identify areas that necessitate additional support.

• Keep precise records and ensure all required documentation is completed promptly.

• Attend faculty meetings, training sessions, and professional development as needed.

• Address candidate inquiries and communications with professionalism and promptness.

• Contribute to ongoing program improvement initiatives and accreditation requirements.

• Recognize at-risk candidates and work alongside the clinical practice team and students.

• Employ strong written and verbal communication skills effectively.

• Function both independently and collaboratively within a virtual team setting.

• Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree or higher in Education or a closely related discipline.

• A valid California Teaching Credential in Multiple Subject or Single Subject Education.

• At least three (3) years of successful K–12 teaching experience.

• Background in mentoring, supervising, coaching, or evaluating teacher candidates, interns, or new educators.

• Proven knowledge of California Teaching Performance Expectations (TPEs 1–7).
