Part-Time Faculty, Social Work

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional instruction utilizing a pre-established curriculum.

• Mentor doctoral students and engage in doctoral committees.

• Offer constructive feedback and support to ensure learner success.

• Be accessible within 48 hours, excluding weekends and holidays, via phone, email, and in the courseroom.

• Facilitate courseroom discussions and provide constructive feedback on assignments.

• Travel within the United States to attend doctoral residencies.

• Leverage the online learning platform to enhance the educational experience.

• Set high expectations and clarify criteria for learner evaluation.

• Comply with University policies and procedures.

• Attend faculty meetings, workshops, and required training sessions.

• Engage in additional activities as dictated by university needs.

• Accept ongoing assignments based on expertise and the requirements of the school.

⛳️ Requirements

• A master’s degree from an accredited Council on Social Work Education and a regionally accredited program is mandatory.

• All degrees must be awarded by a regionally accredited institution.

• The successful candidate must possess a graduate-level Social Work license.

• Achieve, at a minimum, a Graduate Level Social Work licensure in the State of Minnesota upon hire, including passing the ASWB exam with their current graduate-level license.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in the field is required for the undergraduate level.

• A minimum of three years of professional experience in the field is required for the graduate level.

• Research, scholarship, or accomplishments in the discipline are needed for graduate-level positions.

• Doctoral-level experience in conducting and supervising research within the discipline is required.

• Strong computer proficiency is essential.

• Proven knowledge of academic evaluation and academic technology.

• Demonstrated proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing course objectives.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to manage potentially stressful situations professionally and ethically.

• Must have authorization to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Must be willing to travel occasionally within the United States.

• Must be able to access information using a computer.

• Must possess access to a computer, privacy, reliable internet, phone, and video conferencing capabilities at a remote location.

• Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs require.
