Part-time Faculty, Primary Care – Childbearing and Childrearing Family Practicum

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Create and deliver an approved Covista syllabus for students, adhering to the local campus format and including terminal course objectives.

• Organize, prepare, and regularly update course materials as needed.

• Utilize websites, email, online discussions, and course-related software to develop courses and ensure accessibility.

• Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills.

• Establish clear expectations for the course, including objectives, assignment and examination dates, and evaluation criteria.

• Ensure that exam content and difficulty align with the course's terminal objectives.

• Prepare and grade exams in a consistent and fair manner.

• Offer prompt feedback to students.

• Instruct the Primary Care of the Childbearing and Childrearing Family Practicum.

• Perform other assigned duties and adhere to institutional policies and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must possess MSN and DNP degrees (or MSN and PhD in nursing).

• A minimum of 1-2 years of online teaching experience at the graduate level is essential.

• An active unencumbered compact RN nursing license (multi-state) is required.

• FNP certification is mandatory.

• Clinical experience as an FNP is required.

• Online teaching experience is highly preferred.

• Subject matter expertise in the course content is necessary.

• Strong communication, motivational, and instructional abilities in a diverse and non-traditional setting are essential.

• Willingness to obtain an Illinois nursing license prior to teaching if not already achieved.
