Part-Time Crop Adjuster, Southern Indiana

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive field inspections.

• Interpret maps and aerial photographs.

• Take measurements of agricultural fields.

• Ascend storage bins as necessary.

• Engage in discussions with producers regarding crop loss findings.

• Process claims for all major crops, various policy/plan types, and different growth stages.

• Relay regulations and interpretations to producers, agents, and Company staff concerning claims procedures.

• Remain updated on RMA requirements.

• Achieve and uphold CAPP certification if handling multi-peril crop insurance (MPCI) claims.

• Hold a State Adjuster License where applicable.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 to 3 years of experience in crop insurance adjusting or a background in agriculture is preferred.

• A high school diploma or a general education degree (GED) is required.

• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business or an agriculture-related field is preferred.

• Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with computers, printers, scanners, the Internet, and Microsoft Office products.

• Availability to attend all Company-mandated training events and conferences.

• Willingness to travel for work-related purposes for periods exceeding twenty-four (24) hours.

• Ability to physically climb heights greater than ten (10) feet.

• Capability to walk distances exceeding ¼ mile across uneven terrain.

• Capacity to stand without rest for durations longer than one hour.

• Must maintain a valid driver’s license, have a clean MVR, and possess a personal vehicle.

• Must not require sponsorship for work authorization, either now or in the future.
