This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +3 more states.
• Deliver specific art course material via engaging synchronous and asynchronous online learning experiences.
• Provide instruction, support, and guidance while effectively managing the learning process and addressing the unique needs of students.
• Monitor student progress using Stride K12’s learning management system.
• Collaborate closely with students and their parents or learning coaches to facilitate progress toward established educational goals.
• Personalize learning experiences and differentiate instruction based on each student's mastery level.
• Enhance course content utilizing suitable asynchronous and synchronous tools under the guidance of principals and coaches.
• Maintain accurate records in the grade book and make informed decisions regarding student placement and promotion.
• Notify administrators about any concerns related to student performance and progress.
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments.
• Build positive relationships with families and ensure timely communication with students and their learning coaches or parents.
• Assist learning coaches and parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual classroom troubleshooting issues.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to analyze and utilize student data for instructional decision-making.
• Travel up to 20% for professional development, student assessments, and school-related obligations.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Active state teaching license is necessary.
• Appropriate state Department of Education Art Teaching Certification is required.
• Ability to pass the required background check.
• Ability to work independently.
• Capacity to maintain a professional home office free from distractions during working hours.
• Availability for instructional hours between 9–5 EST or 8–4, depending on school needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other educators to interpret and create numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data.
• Ability to utilize student data to inform instructional decisions.
• Open to receiving regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
• Willingness to embrace change and adapt to ensure optimal student outcomes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to modern technologies and teaching platforms.
• Capability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and familiarity with K12 systems, programs, and curricula.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
• Desired: Experience working with the specified age group.
• Desired: Experience in assisting adults and children with technology usage.
