Part-Time After Hours Staff Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform remote order entry, order verification, and medication verification.

• Offer patient counseling as necessary.

• Navigate through various pharmacy information systems.

• Deliver drug information and therapeutic advice to healthcare providers.

• Evaluate medication appropriateness, dosing, renal/hepatic adjustments, interactions, and compatibilities.

• Assist specialized populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, pregnant/nursing patients, HIV patients, and those with renal/hepatic impairments.

• Maintain expertise in IV therapies, TPN, cardiac/narcotic drips, IV antibiotics, chemotherapy, and related treatments.

• Accurately document interventions and clinical actions promptly.

• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients.

• Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations, pharmacy laws, and client policies.

• Operate across VPNs, automation systems, and multiple PIS platforms.

• Utilize Google Suite/Microsoft Office and Snagit.

• Engage in continuous clinical, PIS, and policy training.

• Achieve productivity and quality benchmarks.

• Provide telepharmacy services to multiple hospitals across various states.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy is required; PharmD is preferred.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in hospital pharmacy is required.

• Must hold an active and in good standing pharmacist license in IL, IN, MO, IA, and/or KS.

• Willingness to obtain additional state licenses is necessary.

• Strong clinical knowledge and comfort with navigating multiple systems.

• Availability to work part-time hours, including evenings, nights, and/or weekends.

• Active IL state license is preferred.

• Internet connection through a cable broadband or fiber optic provider with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload is required.

• Maintain necessary licenses, credentials, and system access.
