Part-Time After Hours Staff Pharmacist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform remote order entry, order verification, and drug verification tasks.

• Offer patient counseling as necessary.

• Navigate various pharmacy information systems efficiently.

• Supply drug information and therapeutic guidance to healthcare providers.

• Evaluate medication appropriateness, dosing, renal/hepatic adjustments, interactions, and compatibilities.

• Support specialized patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, pregnant/nursing individuals, HIV patients, and those with renal/hepatic impairments.

• Stay informed about IV therapies, TPN, cardiac/narcotic drips, IV antibiotics, chemotherapy, and other treatment modalities.

• Accurately and promptly document interventions and clinical actions.

• Engage in communication with physicians, nurses, and patients.

• Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations, pharmacy laws, and client policies.

• Participate in ongoing clinical training, PIS updates, and policy training.

• Achieve productivity and quality benchmarks.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is required; PharmD is preferred.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is required.

• An active and good standing pharmacist license in IL, IN, MO, IA, and/or KS is required.

• Must be willing to obtain additional state licenses as necessary.

• Strong clinical understanding and comfort with multiple systems is essential.

• Ability to work part-time hours, including evenings, overnight shifts, and/or weekends.

• Reliable cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload is necessary for remote work.

• Capability to work across VPNs, automation systems, and various pharmacy information systems.

• Proficiency in Google Suite/Microsoft Office and Snagit is required.

• Must maintain all required licenses, credentials, and system access.
