Parallel Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Architect: Shape the architecture of our data processing engine to effectively utilize the parallelism found in GPUs and SIMD-capable CPUs for processing various large-scale datasets.

• Design: Spearhead the design of functional and performance improvements for operators and functions that our engine accelerates.

• Core Development: Independently design, implement, test, optimize, and maintain parallel implementations of operators and functions across a range of acceleration hardware.

• Innovation and Differentiation: Evaluate advancements in accelerated computing hardware, programming models, and associated tools, ensuring our engine maintains its technological and product leadership.

• Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the execution engine engineering team to integrate parallel software components into the overall engine.

• Continuous Improvement: Promote best practices in design and code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and issue resolution to uphold the highest standards of product quality, security, efficiency, and productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with over 5 years of relevant experience, OR a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field with over 3 years of relevant experience.

• More than 3 years of extensive technical experience in developing production applications that handle large-scale data using SIMD extensions of CPUs (e.g., AVX), GPU programming models (e.g., CUDA, ROCm), or equivalent accelerated computing frameworks.

• Proven experience with software libraries, development tools, and profiling tools specific to parallel and accelerated computing.

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve functional and performance issues in both pre-production and post-production environments.

• Strong understanding of computer architecture.

• Excellent programming proficiency in C and C++.

• Significant development experience in Linux environments.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a keen interest in performance optimization.
