This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of an assigned caseload independently, ensuring that each legal matter moves forward efficiently in alignment with the firm's workflow, priorities, and filing deadlines.
• Prioritize cases dynamically based on imminent filing deadlines, urgent client situations, case duration, and firm-wide objectives.
• Keep accurate and real-time updates in CampLegal, Asana, Google Drive, and all relevant case trackers.
• Record all significant client communications, case developments, and follow-up actions on the same business day.
• Actively monitor USCIS, EOIR, NVC, CEAC, and other agency communications to ensure timely addressing of receipts, RFEs, NOIDs, interview notices, and deadlines.
• Support attorneys in the preparation and drafting of immigration petitions, motions, waivers, and specialized applications.
• Conduct thorough and substantive reviews of immigration forms, supporting documentation, client declarations, cover letters, and assembled filing packages.
• Identify factual discrepancies, missing evidence, potential eligibility issues, and case-specific risks, escalating them promptly to the supervising attorney.
• Maintain consistent and empathetic communication with clients to request outstanding documents, forms, signatures, declarations, and approvals.
• Schedule appointments and adequately prepare clients for USCIS interviews, court appearances, consular processing, and other immigration-related hearings.
• Collaborate effectively with various internal teams to resolve case obstacles and avoid unnecessary delays.
• Actively engage in case strategy discussions, team meetings, firm training sessions, and ongoing quality-improvement initiatives.
• Provide assistance in training, onboarding, and mentoring junior team members when requested.
• Bilingual Fluency: Full professional proficiency in both English and Spanish is required (both written and verbal).
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as an immigration paralegal, specifically handling VAWA, U-Visa, T-Visa, family-based adjustments, waivers, and I-751 petitions is preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Proven experience managing high-volume cases using CampLegal, Asana, and Google Workspace.
• Laser Focus & Detail: Outstanding organizational abilities, keen analytical skills to identify case inconsistencies, and the capability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.
