This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Prepare, assess, and modify contracts and associated legal documents to ensure precision and adherence to company policies and applicable laws.
• Assist attorneys during contract negotiations by creating summaries, tracking revisions, and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Uphold an organized contract management system, which includes filing, indexing, and monitoring key dates such as renewals and expirations.
• Perform legal research regarding contract terms, regulatory obligations, and industry standards to aid in drafting and risk evaluation.
• Collaborate across departments to collect necessary information and obtain approvals for contract execution and amendments.
• Generate reports and keep records on the status of contracts, obligations, and compliance issues for management analysis.
• Assist the legal team with various projects related to contract administration and compliance as needed.
• Engage professionally and clearly with attorneys, business partners, and vendors to address issues and negotiate terms.
• Associate's degree or higher in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related area.
• A minimum of 2 years of paralegal experience, particularly in contracts or corporate law.
• Comprehensive understanding of contract law, legal terminology, and typical contract provisions.
• Proficient in contract management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Paralegal certification from a recognized organization (e.g., NALA, NFPA) is preferred.
• Experience within a corporate legal department or a law firm that specializes in contracts is preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and risk management issues related to contracts.
• Advanced proficiency in legal research tools and contract lifecycle management systems.
• Strong organizational capabilities to maintain contract databases and monitor deadlines to prevent compliance issues.
