Paralegal

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with members of the legal team to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

• Draft, review, and oversee contracts, agreements, and legal documents pertaining to the company's operations.

• Assist the legal team in negotiating and finalizing contracts with external entities, ensuring compliance and precision.

• Conduct research and remain informed about regulatory frameworks and compliance obligations.

• Work closely with internal departments, offering legal guidance and support for daily operations.

• Manage Know Your Customer (“KYC”) processes, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in using Synaps or similar platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; a paralegal certificate is an advantage.

• At least 2-3 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department, ideally with exposure to legal matters related to decentralized finance and blockchain.

• Strong foundational understanding of legal principles, contracts, and regulatory compliance.

• Familiarity with the legal implications of blockchain technology and smart contracts, along with a general grasp of the technology itself.

• Proficient in using compliance platforms.

• Detail-oriented and adept at managing multiple tasks with accuracy.

• Ability to swiftly adapt to the changing regulatory landscape in the decentralized finance and blockchain sectors.

• Commitment to continuous learning and staying informed about changes in laws and regulations impacting the industry.

• Maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality while handling sensitive legal issues.
