This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Honduras.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, certifications, discovery, correspondence, and other Family Law documents under the guidance of an attorney.
• Organize and prepare documents related to divorce, custody, child support, alimony, parenting time, and other matters pertaining to New Jersey Family Law.
• Support attorneys in case preparation, discovery, trial preparation, and court filings.
• Review and systematically organize client information, financial records, and supporting documents.
• Conduct legal research and assist in identifying relevant New Jersey statutes, court rules, and case law.
• Keep precise case files, track deadlines, manage calendars, and utilize case-management systems effectively.
• Collaborate with attorneys, clients, courts, and opposing counsel as instructed.
• Examine legal documents for accuracy, completeness, formatting, and consistency.
• Aid in the organization and preparation of discovery materials and responses.
• Monitor case deadlines, court dates, filing requirements, and other significant case milestones.
• Organize and sustain electronic case files and supporting documentation.
• Assist attorneys in preparing materials for hearings, conferences, mediations, and trials.
• Relay case-related information and follow-up items to attorneys and relevant parties as instructed.
• Uphold strict confidentiality when managing sensitive client information and family law matters.
• Perform additional paralegal and case-support tasks as assigned by the supervising attorney.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Family Law Paralegal.
• Extensive experience in drafting New Jersey Family Law pleadings and legal documents.
• Familiarity with New Jersey Family Court procedures, rules, and filing requirements.
• Experience in supporting cases related to divorce, custody, child support, alimony, parenting time, and other Family Law concerns.
• Proficient legal research and writing abilities.
• Capability to identify and investigate relevant New Jersey statutes, court rules, and case law.
• Exceptional proofreading and document-review capabilities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities with minimal supervision.
• Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Capacity to manage confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while adhering to attorney directives and established procedures.
• Experience with legal case-management software is preferred.
• Paralegal certification or relevant legal education is advantageous.
