This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Operate under the guidance of Devoted Health’s legal team, assisting and leading various legal and business initiatives critical to the Company’s expansion across markets, products, and service offerings.
• Primarily dedicated to supporting Devoted Health’s corporate governance activities, which include entity formation filings, subsidiary maintenance, assistance for Boards of Directors and committees, and precise upkeep of corporate records and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Draft and uphold corporate governance documentation, encompassing entity formation filings, subsidiary management, and corporate records.
• Prepare and submit necessary documents to government bodies, including Departments of Insurance and Secretaries of State, on behalf of Devoted and its subsidiaries, while maintaining corporate records for those entities.
• Facilitate and participate in regular direct communication with various regulators and agencies in response to inquiries, requests for information, and document submissions.
• Work is often guided by established precedents and documented procedures/regulations/professional standards, with some interpretation required.
• Collaborate with essential Devoted business segments, such as business compliance, to support the Company’s strategic initiatives and provide general corporate guidance.
• Coordinate with in-house attorneys, other paralegals, and outside counsel as necessary.
• Bachelor's degree, paralegal studies degree, or paralegal certificate.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a corporate law or compliance department or at a law firm in a paralegal role.
• Experience within the healthcare industry.
• Exceptional project management abilities.
• Proven experience in corporate governance.
• Capability to thrive in a startup fast-paced environment, working both independently and collaboratively while managing tight deadlines.
• Experience interacting with state and/or federal regulators.
• Strong interpersonal and team communication skills.
• Outstanding research and writing abilities.
• Demonstrated organizational skills, along with adaptability and the ability to juggle multiple or competing priorities within set time frames, adjusting priorities in a dynamic environment.
