Over the Phone Interpreter, Bosnian

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Deliver real-time Bosnian ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.

• Provide interpretation with accuracy, neutrality, and confidentiality in immigration, legal, and administrative settings.

• Comply with USCIS/DHS regulations and uphold interpreter ethics standards.

• Manage both pre-scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests effectively.

• Engage in training sessions, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess native or near-native proficiency in both Bosnian and English.

• Have over 2 years of professional interpreting experience (preferably in immigration, legal, community, medical, or government sectors).

• Be knowledgeable about interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.

• Exhibit strong telephone communication skills and maintain accuracy under pressure.

• Must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
