Slovak Sports Localization Specialist – Football

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Review, localize, fact-check, translate, and adapt sports-related content, primarily focusing on football, while following prescribed writing style guidelines.

• Conduct market-specific research on local content, product and terminology trends, as well as best localization practices tailored for the target audience.

• Offer constructive feedback on written content.

• Execute quality control, translation, copy editing, and machine translation post-editing (MTPE) tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/BA degree and/or a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the linguistic field, sports journalism, copywriting, or copy-editing.

• Comprehensive knowledge of sports, with a particular emphasis on football.

• Proven experience in the translation and localization of multimedia content, ideally including machine translations and evaluations.

• Native-level proficiency in the target language.

• Exceptional grammar and writing capabilities in the native language.

• Strong creative writing, proofreading, and editing abilities in the native language.

• Solid practical knowledge of computers and mobile devices, including proficiency in word processors and spreadsheets.

• Possession of a licensed version of MS Office applications.

• Ability to work independently and remotely.
