• Drive profitable sales within a specified geographical region by servicing and developing relationships with customers, particularly focusing on major and target accounts.
• Investigate and resolve customer issues and complaints effectively.
• Identify and inform potential customers about the company's functions and capabilities.
• Monitor industry trends and report findings to company management.
• Identify key decision-makers at current and prospective customers and build a working relationship with them.
• Create a market strategy for the territory with measurable goals and objectives supported by actionable plans and benchmarks for tracking progress.
• Support inside sales efforts on special accounts and projects as needed.
• Organize and conduct sales calls and visits.
• Estimate customer product usage and assess participation from business units.
• Facilitate training sessions on products and services for both customers and employees of the business unit.
• Adhere to transaction pricing that varies from business unit pricing and report any significant occurrences and trends to management.
• Relay customer product and quality requirements to inside sales and operations teams.
• Suggest modifications to the product catalog and company services.
• Initiate and oversee electronic inventory requirements.
• Provide insights regarding current and potential advertising strategies.
• Continuously enhance knowledge of company products, services, and processes.
• Maintain and regularly update the customer database.
• Download, review, and follow up on quotes daily.
• Conduct daily sales reviews for customer appreciation and order evaluations.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in public or customer interaction.
• At least 1 year of sales experience is necessary.
• A strong safety mindset is essential.
• Completion of or progress towards a four-year degree in sales, business, or marketing is preferred.
• 3-5 years of sales experience is advantageous.
• Training and/or experience in metallurgy is a plus.
• Experience in public speaking is beneficial.
• Basic computer skills are required.
