• The Outside Sales Representative is tasked with driving additional sales growth and enhancing profitability through account relationships, with a particular emphasis on new business development.
• OSRs will track key performance indicators for designated professional customers and aim to meet or surpass financial performance targets by collaborating with the Regional Pro Sales Manager and Pro Sales Manager.
• Foster additional sales growth by developing business relationships within assigned customer portfolios and engaging in prospecting to stimulate further sales increases.
• Collaborate with the Pro Account Expeditor as a daily contact to facilitate a comprehensive quoting, ordering, and transaction experience for customers.
• Employ Salesforce to strategize future sales call activities, manage continuous customer communications, and uphold a robust sales pipeline.
• Conduct initial meetings with customers to establish relationships, promoting The Home Depot value proposition and the opportunity to quote materials.
• Candidates must be at least eighteen years of age.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional work experience is necessary.
• At least 2 years of experience in account management or sales management is required.
• A background of 2 or more years in the home improvement or home building industry is essential.
• Proven professional development in a fast-paced retail environment is expected.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications is a must.
• Strong capability to create and nurture an active network of relationships both within and outside the organization.
• Ability to utilize relationships to achieve sales and profitability objectives.
• Comprehensive understanding of Pro customer needs with a commitment to meeting 100% of their product, credit, and performance requirements.
• Assess how each customer prefers to be served and customize communications and customer-facing activities accordingly.
• Strong leadership and negotiation skills; capable of persuading or influencing others effectively.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to engage globally.
