This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Oversee and enhance the sales of veterinary supplies to veterinary clinics, universities, and research facilities within a designated geographic region.
• Collaborate with Inside Sales Representatives to optimize sales efforts.
• Conduct sales calls to veterinary clinics, universities, and research facilities.
• Promote veterinary products and share market insights with clinics.
• Support business development through educational initiatives and marketing opportunities.
• Prepare for calls ahead of time, organize detail bags, distribute literature packets, analyze clinic sales interactions, send advance notice cards, and keep informed about promotions, new products, communications, and industry developments.
• Build and sustain relationships with vendor representatives in the assigned geographic territory.
• Participate in vendor-sponsored veterinary meetings, industry trade shows, regional and national company meetings, and vendor educational training sessions.
• Address management- or vendor-approved territory requests, including surveys, shared Outlook calendars, and territory analysis.
• Manage and submit expense reports to corporate within two weeks.
• Provide territory reporting as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• A four-year college degree is preferred.
• At least two years of experience in the veterinary industry is required.
• Sales experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills, including diplomacy and professional sales techniques.
• Strong organizational abilities.
• Capability to work accurately with highly detailed information.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry.
• Self-motivated and diligent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to manage high stress and handle rejection.
• Capacity to meet frequent deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
• Willingness to work from a vehicle throughout the day.
• Ability to travel by air for vendor training and National Sales meetings.
• A working vehicle is required for sales calls.
• Willingness to travel by air and stay overnight when necessary.
