
Outside Sales Representative – Architectural Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Engage in outside sales activities to meet regional sales objectives, including prospecting and finalizing deals with new clients across our architectural product offerings.
• Seek out and connect with specialty contractors, showcasing the advantages of Balco Architectural Products over competitors, while facilitating product transitions through consultations and demonstrations.
• Increase the wallet share of current customers across various product categories, including joint systems, stair nosing, entrance mats & grids, photoluminescent egress systems, and additional solutions.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, contractors, and the design community through in-person meetings, site visits, and networking events.
• Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical education on joint solutions and all architectural product offerings to meet customer design requirements.
• Travel regionally (up to 50% or more) to meet clients, participate in trade shows, dealer meetings, and industry events to generate leads and enhance market penetration.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to create tailored proposals, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure smooth order fulfillment.
• Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities using CRM tools; prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
• Identify new business opportunities by assessing local market conditions, including competition and stakeholder trends, to attract new customers and expand existing accounts.
• High school diploma is required; a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• B2B outside sales experience in the construction or architectural design sector.
• Demonstrated history of meeting or surpassing sales targets through relationship-building and consultative selling techniques.
• Strong understanding of construction materials and an awareness of project teams and lifecycles.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for in-person interactions.
• Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with an unblemished driving record (MVR and proof of insurance required).
• Self-driven, adaptable, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Field: This position will require occasional visits to construction sites in various weather conditions, navigating uneven surfaces, reaching, bending, kneeling, lifting 40 pounds, and standing for extended durations.
• Remote: This is a remote position. Remote employees must have a designated workspace to conduct business and hold private conversations. Employees are expected to be available to fulfill their job responsibilities as scheduled.
