This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Oversee and enhance the sales of equine veterinary supplies to equine hospitals, boarding facilities, and horse tracks within a designated geographic region.
• Work in conjunction with Inside Sales Representatives to optimize sales efforts.
• Organize calls, manage iPad materials, distribute literature packets, evaluate sales calls, send advance notice cards, and stay informed on promotions, products, emails, mail, and industry developments.
• Conduct sales calls to equine veterinary clinics, racetracks, universities, and research institutions.
• Market and sell equine veterinary products along with Midwest Equine Business Solutions, providing market insights to around 75–90 equine-exclusive accounts.
• Foster equine business growth through collaboration with ISR and OSR representatives, as well as educational and marketing initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with equine vendor representatives.
• Accompany BI, Clipper, Merial, Merck, and Zoetis representatives at least once every quarter.
• Attend vendor-sponsored veterinary conferences, equine trade shows, regional and national company meetings, and vendor training sessions, including conference calls and Webex training.
• Enhance the education, market awareness, and manufacturer-program knowledge of representatives.
• Engage in corporate initiatives aimed at enhancing MVS's presence in the equine sector.
• Collaborate directly with the Equine Business Unit Director, Regional Manager, and National Sales Manager.
• Address management-approved vendor requests, including surveys and territory analysis.
• Manage and submit expense accounts to corporate within a two-week timeframe.
• Provide territory reports as needed.
• Travel up to 35–40% and drive frequently between clinics.
• Fly to vendor training sessions and national sales meetings.
• Must be a resident of Kentucky.
• Must satisfactorily perform all essential functions.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of experience in the equine veterinary sector in a field sales role is required.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Capable of reading and interpreting safety regulations, employment policies, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills, including diplomacy and professional sales techniques.
• Strong organizational abilities.
• Capability to work accurately with highly detailed information.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry.
• Self-motivated and diligent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license and a working vehicle are required.
• Ability to manage high levels of stress and handle rejection.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to work from a vehicle throughout the day.
