This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Acquire and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all products and solutions provided by Rust Automation & Controls.
• Identify and promote products, services, and solutions within designated commercial, industrial, and municipal accounts.
• Enhance territory sales and gross margin by deepening engagement with existing clients and building relationships with new customers.
• Evaluate specifications, application needs, and associated documents to prepare quotations in partnership with the Inside Sales team.
• Conduct joint sales meetings with management and manufacturing partners to reinforce customer relationships and optimize opportunities.
• Perform on-site assessments in industrial and commercial settings to identify needs and propose customized solutions.
• Maintain a thorough CRM database, including accounts, contacts, opportunities, and projects.
• Clearly communicate customer solutions and collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective implementation.
• Technical degree or 2–3 years of experience in industrial sales (or a related field).
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight trips.
• Self-driven with the capability to set high goals and accomplish them.
• Strong eagerness to learn, grow, and embrace coaching.
• Resilient, adaptable, and solution-focused with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric approach.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Capability to work independently while utilizing internal resources.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems (such as NetSuite, Salesforce).
