This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• This role involves selling and promoting the catalog products of Wurth/MSM (Northern Safety).
• It is essential to continuously generate new business while also servicing the existing customer base in the territory.
• Responsibilities include contacting current customers as well as cold calling potential clients within the designated sales territory.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory is required to enhance business through direct, face-to-face interactions with customers.
• Develop customer relationships utilizing consultative selling techniques, soliciting orders, and engaging with customers via phone and virtual meeting platforms.
• Partner with customer service and branch locations to foster new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with inside sales representatives to facilitate customer orders, delivery scheduling, and pricing inquiries.
• Provide price quotes on products and assess customer eligibility for volume purchase programs.
• Stay informed about customer purchases using monthly customer reports.
• Follow up on samples or catalogs sent to prospective or existing customers.
• Work alongside the Product Trainer to understand product applications, ensuring customers are updated on current developments.
• Timely submission of territory reports and competitive analysis is required.
• Record activities and opportunities daily in our CRM system.
• Communicate customer feedback to the company and serve as a resource for all current sales channels.
• Strategically plan and organize sales initiatives.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
• An Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college is required; one to three years of sales experience is preferred, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• A valid and clean state driver's license is mandatory.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary.
• Must be a collaborative team player, working effectively with colleagues and managers.
• A self-starter who exhibits objectivity and assertiveness in their tasks is required.
• Must maintain confidentiality regarding company-related matters and materials.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret a variety of general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations is needed.
• Proficiency in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals is necessary.
• Capable of effectively presenting information and addressing questions from team leaders, managers, colleagues, and customers.
• Ability to perform calculations involving discounts and percentages is required.
• Must be able to address problems that involve several concrete variables in standardized situations.
