Outpatient Cath/IVR Coding Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding across 1–4 specialties

• Conduct professional fee, facility, or HCC coding

• Apply ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes with the utmost specificity

• Precisely assign diagnosis and procedure codes

• Interpret coding guidelines to ensure accurate code assignment

• Evaluate the significance of documentation and its impact on reimbursement

• Offer coding services that support clients

• Adhere to AHIMA Standards of Ethical Coding along with the Company’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct

• Follow internal policies, procedures, and privacy and security regulations

• Safeguard confidential company information, including Personal Health Information

• Engage in company-sponsored training and educational programs

• Maintain required productivity, accuracy, and quality benchmarks

• Execute other tasks as assigned by leadership

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 1 year of experience in outpatient Cath/IVR coding

• At least 6 months of practical experience

• Certification required through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P)

• Must maintain at least one credential through AAPC or AHIMA

• Proficient knowledge and experience with EMR and billing systems

• Must possess a phone, a reliable internet connection, and current CPT and ICD-10-CM coding references

• Achieve a productivity and accuracy rate of 95% or more

• Maintain a quality score of 95% or greater

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook

• Capable of effective and professional communication, both verbally and in writing

• Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and adhere to deadlines

• Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is essential

• Must be able to work independently from home

• Ability to work at a computer terminal for 6–8 hours daily

• Occasional ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 20 lbs
