
OT Security Penetration Tester – Texas/Florida

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.
• Conduct comprehensive tabletop security architecture assessments across OT environments, addressing both technical and non-technical risks without engaging in high-risk manual or automated procedures.
• Evaluate sensitive, legacy networks for potential adverse effects, significant risks, and single points of failure.
• Tailor the depth and approach of reviews to align with each client's operational circumstances.
• Identify vulnerabilities and deficiencies in ICS, SCADA, and field-device environments.
• Assess legacy and sensitive networks where traditional testing poses unacceptable operational risks.
• Differentiate between theoretical and practically relevant risks, demonstrating impact when necessary.
• Assist OT clients in enhancing their security programs and pinpoint critical controls.
• Collaboratively refine the scope of testing as projects advance.
• Convert technical findings into actionable recommendations for both technical and leadership stakeholders.
• Contribute to the evolution of Packetlabs' OT testing methodology and overall practice maturity.
• Remain up-to-date on OT threats, attack methods, and defensive measures.
• Share expertise with the wider team to enhance collective capabilities.
• Must reside in Texas or Florida.
• Hold a degree in Information Security or Computer Science.
• Possess over 3 years of experience in assessing or working within OT, ICS, or SCADA environments.
• Strong grasp of operational constraints that differentiate OT testing from IT testing.
• Excellent communication skills for effectively conveying risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to work autonomously in unfamiliar or highly specialized settings.
• Preferred professional certifications include GICSP, GRID, GCIP, CSSA, CACE, CISSP, or OSCP.
