Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, OCI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, provision, and sustain highly available and scalable OCI cloud infrastructure utilizing compute, networking, and storage services.

• Implement and oversee Infrastructure as Code through Terraform, OCI Resource Manager, or Ansible.

• Configure and fine-tune Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) clusters and Docker-containerized applications.

• Manage OCI network architecture, which includes VCNs, subnets, load balancers, security lists, and VPN/FastConnect integrations.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines utilizing OCI DevOps Service, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.

• Automate processes for code testing, security scanning, and deployment.

• Manage artifact repositories and container registries.

• Integrate automated security checks and vulnerability scanning within deployment pipelines.

• Oversee OCI IAM, Security Zones, Cloud Guard, and OCI Vault for key and secret management.

• Establish and maintain logging, alerting, and observability platforms using OCI monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK stack.

• Lead incident response efforts, troubleshoot infrastructure bottlenecks, and perform root-cause analyses.

• Collaborate with software engineers, QA, and security teams on technical initiatives and operational guidelines.

• Maintain technical documentation for deployment standards, operational runbooks, and automation workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-7+ years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Engineering position.

• Proven hands-on experience managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).

• Proficient in Terraform, OCI Resource Manager, or CloudFormation.

• Strong practical understanding of Docker and Kubernetes, specifically Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE).

• Experience in designing automated deployment pipelines with OCI DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, or similar platforms.

• Proficient in at least one scripting language such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• In-depth understanding of Linux/Unix administration, TCP/IP, DNS, and essential cloud networking concepts, including VCNs, firewalls, and load balancing.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
