Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the development of strategy, operational guidance, and hands-on OCI Network and Infrastructure engineering to deliver significant results across the Oracle Cloud Platform.

• Create and implement fundamental OCI landing zone automation to facilitate scalable, secure, and compliant cloud environments.

• Establish centralized landing zone management by utilizing OCI-native services like Cloud Guard, Logging, Audit, and Identity domains.

• Develop and uphold OCI infrastructure using Terraform, Oracle Cloud CLI, Ansible, and API integrations.

• Create reusable modules, oversee version-controlled deployments, and manage environment-specific configurations.

• Foster a self-service, automation-first approach to enable stakeholders with secure, scalable, and efficient cloud deployment capabilities.

• Provide automation for self-service provisioning and management across both traditional IaaS workloads and contemporary serverless applications.

• Possess experience in designing, implementing, and automating OCI networking architectures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 7 years of experience, or in the absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.

• Proven expertise in OCI engineering, DevOps methodologies, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code.

• High-level proficiency in Terraform, Python, Ansible, and Bash.

• Demonstrated capability to lead technical projects and collaborate effectively with engineering and business teams.

• Experience in designing and managing Medium to large-scale enterprise Oracle OCI environments.

• Knowledge of Cloud security, encompassing OCI Policy, Role-Based Access Control, and identity governance.

• Experienced in building or enhancing CI/CD pipelines, observability frameworks, and automated testing practices.

• Previous leadership experience in guiding engineering teams through modernization or cloud transformation initiatives.
