This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• You are developing and managing community as an operational framework.
• Oversee supply chain operations for a carefully curated network of experts.
• You operate the system, maintain data integrity, and identify any issues.
• You ensure supply data is up-to-date.
• You report the weekly funnel metrics: applications → portfolio confirmations → testing → approvals → contracts → staffing.
• You manage the onboarding processes.
• You execute reactivation initiatives.
• You facilitate bridging activities.
• You are not starting from scratch, nor are you taking over a completed project.
• You will be joining at a crucial stage of development.
• Ability to take action rather than just go with the flow.
• Awareness of your own ego.
• Comfort with uncertainty.
• An understanding of taste and quality.
• Experience as operations or production coordinators in design-centric agencies, studios, or production companies.
• Background as talent coordinators in agencies, casting operations, or fellowship and residency programs.
• Experience in marketplace or community operations where quality was prioritized over quantity.
• Experience as program coordinators managing cohorts, boot camps, or apprenticeships from start to finish.
• Operations generalists or executive assistants in fast-paced companies who developed the tracking systems widely adopted.
• Freelance producers who have effectively managed complex projects on schedule without formal authority.
• You view community management as a form of content programming, including events, newsletters, and merchandise.
• You see no distinction between “building a community” and “establishing a guild.”
• Your experience lies in volume recruiting, focusing on fill rate rather than cultural fit.
• You require someone to remind you about the Monday metrics.
• You produce high-quality work, albeit at a slower pace; polished work alone is not the standard.
• Consistent, well-defined contract work with established ownership and expectations.
• Access to a vendor-grade toolkit (Airtable, Notion, email tools) along with the budget to utilize it effectively.
• A network of over 1,000 active designers who will recognize you personally.
• Opportunities for growth if the position expands.
