Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Supervise the recruitment, hiring, continuous training, coaching, development, and accountability of technicians.

• Enhance technician success rates and retention levels.

• Recruit and hire technicians for residential and/or commercial pest, termite, specialty, and lawn services.

• Assess technician performance through ride-alongs and audits.

• Address customer concerns promptly.

• Ensure high service quality and maximize customer retention.

• Occasionally fill in for customer appointments during staffing shortages.

• Oversee branch scheduling to ensure efficient completion of appointments.

• Uphold safety standards and ensure regulatory compliance.

• Manage and monitor inventory for pest/termite control and home services products.

• Oversee performance metrics related to customer satisfaction, technician retention, staffing budget, safety, route completion, scheduling efficiency, sales growth, and service cost management.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.

• Must maintain licenses/certificates as mandated by federal, state, and/or local laws.

• A valid driver’s license is essential.

• Possess problem-solving skills and practical solutions.

• Ability to effectively lead and inspire others.

• Basic to intermediate math skills for sales/service calculations.

• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication abilities.

• Capable of building rapport and establishing trust with both customers and employees.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or reposition objects weighing up to 20 lbs.

• Capability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.

• Willingness to work in damp or dusty environments, confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.

• Proficient in using stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.

• Competent in safely operating a motor vehicle.

• Ability to maintain and clean vehicles and other equipment.

• Must wear personal protective equipment, including OSHA-compliant respirators.

• Good vision for detail-oriented tasks at close distances or within arm’s reach.

• Must be able to withstand seasonal weather conditions and extreme temperatures.

• Flexibility for evening/weekend work, rotating on-call schedules, and 50–60-hour peak-season workweeks.

• Willing to travel up to 100% within assigned territories.

• Must operate in a drug-free workplace.
