Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bermuda.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the oversight and management of operational functions at CB Bermuda, including those outsourced to intragroup or third-party entities. This includes implementing policies, managing SLA frameworks, and ensuring compliance with Bermuda regulations and contractual obligations.

• Develop and maintain supervision frameworks across essential business segments of Coinbase Bermuda, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and operational best practices.

• Spearhead the creation of operational resilience frameworks, encompassing risk identification, contingency planning, incident response coordination, and communication with regulators and service providers to ensure business continuity.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as banking partners, regulators, and cross-functional teams (Risk, Legal, Compliance, Security, Finance, Product, CX), to manage critical operations and risk initiatives effectively.

• Assist first line of defense operations across significant areas, including launch assessments and approvals, internal audits, regulatory examinations, and supervisory interactions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in financial services, showcasing oversight of operations strategy, outsourcing, and vendor management within a regulated setting.

• Demonstrated experience within a regulated financial institution or investment firm, with a focus on trade supervision across crypto, equities, or derivatives.

• Proven ability to develop and enhance operational processes, create regulator-ready documentation, and manage cross-functional delivery with senior stakeholders.

• Knowledge of operational resilience frameworks, incident management, and business continuity planning in a financial services context.

• Previous experience in a BMA-regulated industry, with a strong understanding of Bermuda Monetary Authority requirements and supervisory expectations.

• Responsible use of generative AI, ensuring human oversight to produce business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

• Ability to effectively utilize generative AI tools and copilots (e.g., LibreChat, Gemini, Glean) in daily workflows, continuously adapt as tools evolve, and apply human-in-the-loop practices for delivering business-ready outputs and enhancing efficiency, cost, and quality.
