This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.
• Provide second-level technical support for GTT's client base in the Network Services and Security sectors.
• Offer break/fix assistance for customer services across GTT’s global network.
• Take ownership of incidents, resolve them promptly, and ensure a final resolution while collaborating with customers and various internal and external teams as necessary.
• Escalate issues to vendor support and other internal teams to guarantee swift and satisfactory resolution.
• Deliver clear and relevant action plans to teams for efficient resolution of network and customer issues.
• Communicate and document specific customer and service-related support information.
• Engage in proactive problem management based on technical analysis and trend evaluation to maintain service stability.
• Implement preventative measures whenever feasible.
• Configure network and security components and facilitate the migration of services.
• Ensure adherence to operational processes and provide top-tier technical support while ensuring a stable and resilient network.
• At least 2 years of experience in operations within a Telco, Service Provider, Managed Services Provider, or similar environment.
• Broad knowledge of the Telecom/SP/MSP industry, including standards and products such as DIA & IP Transit services, MPLS, L2VPN & L3VPN solutions, and Managed Security services.
• Strong understanding of SD-WAN technologies and associated key products, as well as NFV and Network Virtualization.
• Proficient understanding and practical experience with routing protocols, including BGP, ISIS, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with Layer 2 technologies, such as VLANs, Q-in-Q, Trunks, VTP, Spanning-Tree Protocols, and Aggregation/LACP.
• General understanding of network security technologies and experience with Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), including NAC, VPNs, DPI, IPS/IDS, application control, and content filtering.
• Familiarity with additional network and security-related protocols and technologies is advantageous (FHRPs, DHCP, NAT, QoS, ACLs, SNMP, AAA, tunneling/VPN solutions, VoIP, WLANs).
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix-based tools and operations.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Cisco and Juniper products are essential.
• Familiarity and experience with other network/security vendors such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Checkpoint is a plus.
