Operations Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Take responsibility for Operational Health Across Production Streams.

• Ensure complete visibility regarding utilization, profitability, delivery timelines, and adherence to processes across various teams and regions.

• Recognize early warning signs in capacity, margin, or client satisfaction before they escalate into larger issues.

• Serve as the initial point of escalation for operational breakdowns that affect revenue or delivery confidence.

• Take decisive action to stabilize operations and restore performance levels.

• Lead Planning, Forecasting & Capacity Control initiatives.

• Develop and continuously enhance forecasting models to predict resource constraints and delivery obstacles.

• Align production, finance, and sales with realistic planning assumptions.

• Convert pipeline signals into effective capacity strategies.

• Establish consistent operational rhythms that minimize reactive firefighting.

• Manage KPI Systems & Performance Accountability.

• Define, monitor, and evolve operational KPIs including utilization, contribution margin, throughput, and compliance.

• Identify negative trends in KPIs and implement structural solutions instead of temporary fixes.

• Foster performance accountability with Delivery Managers and Project Managers by setting clear expectations, decision-making rights, and measurable targets, while creating an environment that allows them to concentrate on high-impact tasks.

• Introduce enhancements in reporting that increase visibility and accelerate decision-making.

• Enhance Systems, Tools & Operational Frameworks.

• Lead the adoption of new tools, automation layers, or process improvements that boost scalability.

• Streamline fragmented workflows across different regions.

• Standardize operational best practices throughout production streams.

• Represent operations in strategic internal discussions and critical client situations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years in operations, delivery leadership, or production management within complex, multi-team settings.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as Operations Manager or in cross-team performance ownership.

• Proven experience in managing forecasting, planning, and KPI frameworks linked to revenue and margin.

• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with sales, finance, and production stakeholders.

• Background in leading Delivery Managers or equivalent roles, including performance calibration and escalation management.
