Online Visiting Professor, Computer-Aided Design

📋 Description

• Develops and supplies students with an approved syllabus from DeVry University that adheres to a format set by the local campus, including the terminal course objectives.

• Organizes, prepares, and consistently revises and updates all course materials.

• Utilizes suitable technological options for online platforms and course-related software, such as websites, email, and online discussions, to prepare the course and ensure accessibility for students.

• Exemplifies effective oral and written communication that engages students, provides clarity, and enhances student learning.

• Establishes clear expectations for the course by publishing terminal objectives, assignment and examination dates, and the weight distribution of various evaluation categories.

• Ensures that the material and level of content on exams align with the course terminal objectives.

• Demonstrates fairness and consistency in exam preparation and grading, providing timely feedback to students.

• Embraces and integrates the responsible use of AI technologies in the classroom to improve teaching and learning outcomes.

• Shows the ability to recognize, assess, and address appropriate and inappropriate student use of AI tools in academic work.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A master’s degree is required, along with 18 graduate credit hours in the subject area being taught.

• Applicants are required to upload unofficial graduate-level transcripts with their application.

• Degrees must be obtained from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, or from an international institution deemed to have equivalent accreditation.

• Additional requirements dictated by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply.

• Faculty must possess necessary subject matter expertise and excellent communication skills.

• Faculty must demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development in instructional technology, digital literacy, and responsible AI practices.
