Online Japanese Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct dynamic one-on-one online lessons utilizing Microsoft Teams.

• Foster a nurturing and customized learning atmosphere that encourages student engagement, confidence, and achievement.

• Assign tasks and deliver prompt feedback on academic performance, homework, and projects.

• Track student progress and uphold precise grades and academic records.

• Communicate professionally and proactively with students, families, and LanguageBird staff when necessary.

• Exhibit reliability, professionalism, and respect in all interactions.

• Engage in mandatory training sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2+ years of experience in teaching Japanese (either online or in a classroom setting).

• Native-like fluency in Japanese.

• A Bachelor's degree is required.

• Preferred experience with middle school and/or high school students.

• Familiarity with educational technology and Microsoft Office applications.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting deadlines and expectations.

• Evening availability in U.S. time zones (PST preferred).
