Online English Teacher, Spanish-Speaking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Instruct enthusiastic young learners and teenagers in English online from the comfort of your home.

• Assist students in enhancing their English language skills and boosting their confidence.

• Cultivate relationships with returning students.

• Conduct lessons during designated teaching hours from 06:00 to 20:00 Eastern Time.

• Dedicate yourself to teaching during peak demand periods.

• Complete the hiring process prior to commencing work.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level or highly proficient English communication abilities (C1/C2 level).

• Fluent in Spanish.

• At least 2 years of experience teaching English online or in a conventional classroom setting.

• Possession of an accredited TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certificate (120 hours or more).

• Bachelor's degree in English, Translation, English Literature, Education, or a related discipline (either completed or currently pursuing).

• Understanding of CEFR frameworks and ESL assessment methods.

• Strong digital literacy alongside excellent interpersonal communication skills.

• Clean criminal background check.

• Computer equipped with Intel® Core™ i5 processor (or equivalent) operating at 2.40GHz or higher.

• Minimum of 8GB RAM.

• Stable fibre internet connection with at least 20 Mbps upload and download speeds.

• Wired LAN connection is mandatory.

• Noise-cancelling headset with microphone required.

• HD webcam (720p or better).

• A quiet, professional, and well-lit environment suitable for online teaching.

• Availability for a minimum of 10 teaching hours each week.

• Available Monday to Thursday from 16:00–20:00 ET for at least 6 hours weekly.

• Must be available for a minimum of 2 Saturday hours between 06:00–20:00 ET.
