Online English Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Instruct English online to students during their formative years.

• Foster long-lasting relationships with students over several years.

• Conduct 50-minute lessons for groups of 1 to 5 students.

• Teach during the evening hours of Beijing time (5 pm–11 pm BJT).

• Utilize provided lesson plans for effective teaching.

• Establish and uphold a consistent weekly teaching schedule.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous teaching experience is essential.

• TEFL certification is required for online teaching.

• A Bachelor's degree in any discipline; degrees in Language and Education are preferred.

• Any relevant teaching certification is necessary.

• Preference will be given to candidates with TESOL / TESL / TEFL / IELTS certification.

• Experience in teaching ESOL / English to young learners is favored.

• A minimum of 1 year of online teaching experience is required.

• Availability for part-time evening teaching (5 pm–11 pm Beijing time) is crucial.

• A reliable computer (desktop or laptop) is necessary.

• Access to the internet; a wired cable connection is preferred.

• Commitment to teaching for at least one complete semester (6 months) is expected.

• A punctual and responsible work ethic is essential.

• A positive attitude is important.
