Online Cyber and Network Security Faculty

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Instruct students in ECPI University’s Computer Science programs as a part-time online faculty member.

• Deliver practical, hands-on teaching utilizing your industry experience.

• Assist students in achieving their academic and career objectives.

• Conduct classes in five-week accelerated terms.

• Provide support for adult learners during evening and weekend hours.

• Act as the primary point of contact for students encountering software or technical issues.

• Facilitate one live session weekly via Zoom.

• Hold a weekly live office hour via Zoom.

• Engage in faculty training, mentoring, and continuous support.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Computer Information Science with 18 graduate semester hours in the field from a regionally accredited institution.

• CISSP Certification is a plus.

• A minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience is required.

• Preferred career industry experience of 5-7 years.

• Relevant industry experience must have been gained within the last 5 years.

• Relevant technical certification or licensure (if applicable).

• Experience in Wireless Mobile Security/Networking/CyberSecurity.

• Familiarity with CyberSecurity policies and strategies.

• Advanced understanding of the security implications associated with virtualization and storage technologies.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, including approachability and empathy.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Capability to thrive in a 5-week accelerated course environment.

• Comfortable serving as the first point of contact for students needing assistance with software or technical issues.

• Must have reliable high-speed internet access.

• Responsible for providing your own Windows-based computer and webcam.

• Computer system must meet ECPI University's minimum requirements.

• Availability during evenings and weekends is necessary.

• Required to teach one live session each week and conduct one live office hour per week via Zoom.
