This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate customer needs, create personalized care plans, and document interventions and results in Cigna medical management systems.
• Work collaboratively with customers and healthcare providers to set goals, implement interventions, and develop evidence-based care plans.
• Utilize motivational interviewing, behavior modification techniques, and shared decision-making to enhance engagement and achieve better health outcomes.
• Empower customers to effectively navigate the healthcare system and communicate with their healthcare providers.
• Coordinate care among customers, caregivers, providers, and internal partners through phone and digital channels.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams, including pharmacists, nutritionists, behavioral health clinicians, Medical Directors, and medical management programs.
• Monitor, evaluate, and record daily activities, volumes, and outcomes to support performance and quality objectives.
• Adhere to established policies, procedures, and Case Management performance standards.
• Navigate various systems and applications in a dynamic, customer-centric environment.
• Complete all necessary training and maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge, licensure, and certifications.
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in your state of residence.
• At least two (2) years of full-time direct patient care experience as an RN.
• Experience in specialty case management is preferred; oncology experience is a plus for specialty roles.
• Ability to secure a URAC-recognized Case Management certification within four (4) years of employment.
• Strong clinical judgment to evaluate risk, prioritize care, and make informed decisions.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills across telephone and digital platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and online research tools.
• Capability to resolve conflicts, collaborate across teams, and engage with diverse populations.
• Strong organizational abilities, adaptability, and comfort in managing multiple complex cases simultaneously.
• For permanent or occasional remote work, access to cable broadband or fiber optic internet service with a minimum of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speed.
