Lead Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the operations of summer conferences, intern housing, and extended guest accommodations.

• Assist in the management of summer conference and intern housing oversight.

• Create detailed manuals and documentation for subordinate student manager roles.

• Aid in overseeing the entire guest experience journey, from the initial inquiry through to final billing and invoicing.

• Help coordinate the planning and implementation of Summer Conference and Intern Housing initiatives.

• Collaborate with Student Life Facilities and Student Life Dining Services.

• Provide support for planning, logistics, and financial arrangements for summer guests.

• Develop and maintain thorough training materials for subordinate managers and Student Assistants.

• Report directly to full-time professional staff in the Student Life Events and Conferences office.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a non-OSU student.

• A minimum of 1.5 years of leadership experience is required.

• Completion of at least one full season with Events and Conferences is necessary.

• Ability to work autonomously under pressure.

• Familiarity with OSU employee conduct guidelines.

• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities.

• Demonstrated capability to effectively lead and manage teams.

• High attention to detail and a proactive work approach.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and various customer service platforms.

• Availability to work 30–38 hours per week during the summer and 3–15 hours per week during the academic year.

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and weekdays as required.

• Final candidates must successfully complete a background check; a drug screening or physical may be necessary during the post-offer process.
