This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Supervise all operations of company-operated stores within the assigned district.
• Recruit, hire, mentor, and retain top-performing store managers.
• Foster a sales-driven and customer-focused environment.
• Maintain the presentation of facilities while managing maintenance, labor, and vendor relationships.
• Analyze management data and financial reports to pinpoint performance trends and challenges.
• Monitor competitors through site visits.
• Guide store managers on repairs, maintenance, and vendor agreements.
• Oversee rental rates, discounts, merchandise, tenant protection plans, truck rentals, and other revenue sources.
• Support and hold store managers accountable for marketing efforts and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve concerns.
• Identify operational successes and implement strategies to leverage opportunities.
• Manage P&L responsibilities, including revenue sources, payroll, repair and maintenance, and budget expenses.
• Conduct regular property audits to ensure safety and operational compliance.
• Handle delinquent tenant processes and enhance customer retention.
• Build and nurture client relationships through consistent communication and meetings.
• Interact with employees, colleagues, and customers effectively.
• Proven leadership abilities in building, developing, and retaining high-performing teams of hourly, nonexempt employees.
• Strong passion for sales and excellence in customer service.
• Capability to monitor and manage payroll and expenditures efficiently.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
• Outstanding communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time to other markets, the SAM office in Pennsylvania, and industry trade events.
• Availability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Ability to perform tasks such as walking, standing, sitting, talking, hearing, close work, driving, bending/stooping, repetitive motion, keyboarding, using hands, lifting up to 25 lbs., reaching, climbing, and crouching/stooping.
• A bachelor's degree and prior experience in storage facilities is advantageous but not mandatory.
