Oncology Medical Affairs Director, Precision Medicine

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Establish and maintain professional relationships with key decision-makers in reference laboratories, organized health systems, managed market organizations, and oncology pathway organizations.

β€’ Provide reliable medical and scientific information across the oncology product portfolio and therapeutic areas.

β€’ Create strategic account plans in collaboration with PHSO MADs, oncology account management, and precision medicine teams.

β€’ Implement medical activities that align with established account plans.

β€’ Monitor market trends and changing information needs within the designated territory.

β€’ Contribute market insights to enhance value propositions for oncology products and non-product offerings.

β€’ Communicate and coordinate with the Regional Medical Scientific Director regarding medical and scientific support requirements.

β€’ Assist with strategic planning for the PHSO MAD Team Lead, PHSO Executive Director Medical Affairs, and US Medical Affairs.

β€’ Participate in and support scientific and medical meetings.

β€’ Prepare deliverables following meetings.

β€’ Provide mentorship to other team members.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A minimum of MD, PharmD, or PhD degree.

β€’ At least 3 years of focused field-based Medical Affairs experience with reference labs, regional and/or national payers, integrated delivery systems, or scientific leaders, OR 5 years of clinical experience within a health system, OR equivalent experience.

β€’ Experience with organized healthcare systems or payer organizations.

β€’ Proven ability to cultivate peer-to-peer relationships with key decision-makers.

β€’ In-depth knowledge of oncology biomarkers and diagnostics and their application in clinical medicine.

β€’ Familiarity with managed market environments, disease management, and medical research.

β€’ Comprehensive understanding of oncology precision medicine, biomarkers, and diagnostics.

β€’ Awareness of healthcare delivery system structure and function, healthcare delivery policies, and trends.

β€’ Outstanding interpersonal communication and networking skills.

β€’ High personal integrity, collaborative approach, and customer-oriented mindset.

β€’ Strong understanding of ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.

β€’ Capability to organize, prioritize, and work efficiently in a dynamic environment.

β€’ Proven project leadership skills.

β€’ Must reside within the territory that includes MI, IL, IN, WI, MN, ND, SD, NE, IA, KS, MO, OK, AR, LA, TX, and NM.

β€’ Willingness to travel up to 50% within the territory.

β€’ Must be located near a major city hub airport.

β€’ Preferred: Field-based medical experience in precision medicine.

β€’ Preferred: Academic or industry research experience and manuscript co-authorship in immunology, cancer biology, or related fields.

β€’ Preferred: Formal training in health economics and/or outcomes research.

β€’ Valid driving license required.
