Associate Director – Medical Science Liaison, Dermatology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Ensure ongoing learning and technical proficiency in dermatology and associated therapeutic areas.

• Participate in scientific discussions and deliver unbiased, current medical and scientific information.

• Carry out customer-facing engagements with scientific and clinical professionals.

• Link scientific and clinical experts with Lilly resources and internal business associates.

• Promote collaborative research and external ventures.

• Create, implement, and assess strategic territory initiatives.

• Focus on essential MSL tasks and accept responsibility for outcomes.

• Comply with Lilly field roles while sharing customer interactions.

• Utilize territory analytics for identifying customers and prioritizing routing.

• Consolidate and convey actionable insights regarding customers and clinical matters to internal medical and cross-functional teams.

• Apply sound judgment, escalate concerns, foster internal networks, and collaborate across departments.

• Contribute to team objectives and fulfill the role in compliance with necessary requirements, procedures, and regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A graduate degree in health sciences (e.g., PharmD, MD, PhD in a medically related field) is mandatory.

• 2-3 years of pertinent clinical or therapeutic area experience is preferred.

• A master’s or bachelor’s degree in health sciences (e.g., BSN, RPh, PA, NP) may be accepted if accompanied by 5 or more years of clinical, research, or industry experience in the relevant therapeutic area.

• A valid US driver's license and an acceptable driving history are required.

• Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States.

• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.

• Availability to work 4 to 6 weekends annually.

• Candidates should live within the designated territory and have access to major air and rail transport.

• A strong intellectual curiosity about the science and medicine of dermatology.

• Learning agility to understand and clearly articulate complex scientific information.

• Self-motivated, capable of independent work in the field, and adept at managing multiple priorities and projects.

• Advanced presentation and computer skills with proficiency in literature identification.

• Strategic and critical thinking abilities to analyze, evaluate, and assess information.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in using field-based electronic communication tools.

• Resilience in navigating complex challenges.

• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, including emotional intelligence and the ability to build professional relationships and networks.
