This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Develop and implement Medical strategies and engagement initiatives for designated customers within the territory.

• Stay informed about relevant therapeutic areas, disease states, and Pfizer products.

• Supply therapeutic area and product information to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Act as a resource and channel for Medical Information and customer insights.

• Provide requested information to healthcare professionals in line with Pfizer guidelines.

• Relay customer perspectives to Pfizer to enhance medical strategy.

• Assist in the development of Medical content strategy and execute corresponding Field Medical tactics.

• Collaborate and communicate with headquarters Medical teams, Medical Information, and Field Medical colleagues.

• Present live and virtual presentations, written communications, and conduct telephone or virtual discussions.

• Share approved medical content regarding Pfizer products and pertinent therapeutic subjects.

• Identify and engage key customer segments within the designated therapeutic area.

• Address unsolicited medical inquiries from healthcare professionals with truthful, accurate, and scientifically validated information.

• Facilitate advisory boards, coordinating with vendors as necessary, under managerial oversight.

• Handle incoming inquiries from healthcare professionals through the established triage process.

• Collaborate with Oncology Research & Development and Global Product Development to pinpoint potential clinical trial sites, including those serving underrepresented patient populations.

• Provide Medical support throughout the Investigator Sponsored Research process.

• Enhance research and therapeutic area knowledge through congress data and disease-state literature.

• Lead asset initiatives.

• Explain study design, methodology, data analysis, and interpretation concepts to customers.

• Navigate the territory through strategic planning, prioritization, and accountability for medical impact.

• Engage with local Patient Advocacy Groups in partnership with Corporate Affairs and HQ Medical Affairs.

• Deliver actionable insights from the field regarding patient organizations, patient needs, treatment trends, standards of care, and unmet data requirements.

• Participate in Medical, therapeutic-area, and asset cross-functional committees.

• Represent Pfizer Medical Affairs leadership with clinical/professional associations and societies.

• Mentor onboarding partners, advisory board leaders, and study leads.

• Engage in special projects as required.

• Support Pfizer’s Thoracic oncology portfolio as a field-based scientific expert in New York state.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in health science is required.

• Relevant experience is necessary: PharmD/PhD with 6 years of experience, MBA/MSc with 8 years of experience, or BA/BSc with 10 years of experience.

• Recognized subject matter expert among internal and external stakeholders.

• Proven breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflicts constructively.

• Capable of handling a significant volume of projects developed in a remote setting.

• Proven ability to prioritize, implement projects successfully, and demonstrate sound judgment.

• Experience working within a matrixed, multi-disciplinary team.

• Skilled in leading and managing change within an evolving healthcare landscape.

• Demonstrated adaptability and agility in response to organizational changes.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to network across the enterprise.

• Proven leadership and teamwork with peers, internal stakeholders, and external customers.

• Self-motivated individual who is accountable and possesses a sense of urgency.

• Demonstrated clinical and technical proficiency.

• Ability to quickly adopt and leverage new digital technologies and resources with medical customers.

• Must be able to operate a Pfizer company vehicle and travel by air regularly.

• Willingness to travel 60–80% of the time.

• Must reside near an airline ‘hub’ city.

• Availability to work on weekends.

• Candidates must currently live in New York state, including Manhattan and Long Island.

• Candidates must be authorized for employment in the U.S. by any employer.

• Permanent work authorization in the United States is required for this position.

• PharmD, PhD, or an equivalent terminal doctoral degree is highly preferred.

• Previous Field Medical experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with internal/external SOPs, rules, and regulations is preferred.
